Personal Consumer Issues • Recommendation for lightweight carry-on luggage?

I have seen Tom Bihn mentioned on here quite a bit, but they seem expensive for what they are. Any experience with their travel bags, and if so which one? Rick Steves also makes a similar bag that is a fraction of the price. Is there any reason to go for the TB over Rick Steves? Any others to consider?
I love Tom Bihn. I chose the Techonaut and am totally happy with it. I also have and adore the Road Buddy, Pop Tote, Maker’s Bag, and I wear the Daylight Backpack every day as my primary stuff-carrier. They just work, without flaws. I’m not saying that necessarily justifies the price, but, well, there it is.
