An experienced engineer knows that the glass has both contingency and margin, and so is perfectly sized for a design with low maturity. Margin is not knowing how much we really need, while contingency is not knowing future performance. These uncertainties utterly dominate the kind of details argued about here on BH.I also am actually drawn to the simplicity and cleanness. I also have engineering tendencies.
The optimist says the glass is half full. The pessimist says the class is half empty. The engineer says the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
