It has been more than 5 years since I last owned a car and I have an appt with a dealer to purchase a Subaru this weekend.
I have contacted State Farm and geico and both need about two weeks for the underwriting. I read on another forum that you can get same day auto insurance via the Tesla app for a non-Tesla vehicle which was what I did. Except I just read that in order to purchase a Tesla policy for a non - Tesla vehicle , you will need to be an owner of Tesla (though they never asked me when I was applying via the app). Is it correct?? So it looks like I will need to cancel the policy. And then get another one asap, otherwise I won’t be able to take the car with me.
