Regarding taxes:

I don't expect the need to pay much if any taxes. This is because the entirety of my portfolio is in an after-tax brokerage (basically just a standard brokerage account where I put in after-tax money and I can withdraw at any time without penalty). So the gains are subject to Long Term Capital Gains. After accounting for the standard deduction, I will be in the 0% tax bracket.

I will need to pay CA state tax, however this is not much, maybe a couple hundred per month.
