Personal Consumer Issues • Drop Homeowner Ins- Self Insure

What you would need is liabliity only, and I've never heard of anyone doing that. It must be possible.
I've been "self-insured" for about 10 years for windstorm liability in my homeowner's insurance policy, which was the part driving up the cost. I continued with the liability, fire, etc. parts of my homeowner's insurance. So maybe it's possible for the OP to remove the part(s) that are driving up the cost and keep the liability coverage?
